Great Duck Island Lighthouse, ME

First lit in 1890 with a fifth-order Fresnel lens, the Great Duck Light remains an active guide to navigation maintained by the US Coast Guard.  The lens was upgraded to a 4th order in 1902, still producing a red flash every ten seconds.  The lighthouse was automated in 1986.
