McCurdy’s Smokehouse with the Mulholland lighthouse just visible in the distance. Smoking herring had been a leading industry in Lubec for many years, and McCurdy's was the last to go out of business when it finally closed its doors in 1991. Now, there is a museum about the fishing industry in the skinning/packing shed, while Lubec Landmarks continues to restore the rest of the complex.
