Waterville, ME

This is the Ticonic Footbridge, more commonly known as the Two Cent Bridge. It is a suspension footbridge crossing the Kennebec River between Waterville and Winslow. It is believed to be the last toll footbridge still standing in the U.S. The original (1901) bridge was destroyed in its first year by high water levels. Rebuilt in 1903, with the two cent toll that gives it its name, it has survived until today.
