Provincetown, MA, is surrounded by beaches. We often check them out looking for whales.

There had been sightings of large pods of whales. This drew the crowds; unfortunately, we were too late, and the whales had dispersed.

This is the Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, MA. Built between 1907 & 1910, it commemorates the first landing of the Pilgrims on board the Mayflower in 1620. Interestingly, it is the tallest structure in the US built entirely from granite.

Fanizzi's by the Sea is a favorite restaurant on Commercial Street in Provincetown. It is away from the center of the town, so is much quieter. Good food, fair prices and excellent service. For what more could one ask?

Commercial Street in Provincetown; looking towards Adam's Pharmacy. This is a real old school pharmacy; you could almost believe you were back in the 1950s.

The beautiful Town Hall where Joan Rivers performed on July 5th 2014. Tickets were $125 or $175; a bargain!

Here we are little further along Commercial Street from Adam's Pharmacy approaching the Cape Cod Jewelry store.

Beautiful car on the corner of Commercial Street and Johnson St. The Kobalt Gallery building is boarded up on the corner. The brown building to the laft houses Wildflower Home; a florist and home interior store. Beyond that is Luxories, selling reasonably priced objects from around the world.
