1931 Pierce-Arrow Dual Cowl Phaeton. Largely hand built, these cars were aimed at a wealthy, conservative clientele. Started in 1901 in Buffalo, NY, by 1938 they were out of business.

This prototype of the Playboy automobile was manufactured in 1947. 94 examples were built. The company, like Pierce-Arrow, was based in Buffalo, NY. Heavily under capitalized, they went bankrupt in 1951.

The beautiful post-war Jaguar XK120 was too heavy to be competitive racer, so Jaguar devloped a racing version; the "C" Type.
