New York City, NY

The apartment building where we used to live in Mid-town Manhattan, on East 38th Street. Called The Corinthian, it was the largest apartment building in New York City when it was completed in 1988. Designed by Der Scutt and Michael Schimenti, the building is quite unusually shaped, particularly for New York Cty. It was built on the site of, and incorporates elements of, the old East Side Airlines Terminal. In the right hand picture, the church is St. Vartan Cathedral, which was the first cathedral of the Armenian Apostolic Church to be constructed in North America.
