Isafjordur, Iceland

Iceland is relatively young, with the oldest parts, in the east and west, being only a few million years old. Compare this to Alaska which dates back at least 65 million years.  This is the small village of Hnífsdalur, about 4 km (2.5 miles) north of Isafjordur.
