In 2004, on our very first trip to Newport, we took the cliff walk. It started off as an easy stroll............

.................then it became a lot more interesting!

Larry Ellison of the Oracle Corp owns Beechwood, and has funded a huge restoration. He appears to plan to use it to house his art collection.

A very interesting house perched on the cliff with amazing sea views. Unfortunately, the cliff walk itself goes right past the back wall of the house.

The view across Easton Bay towards Middletown. The tower belongs to St. George's School, a private boarding school that is (appropriately?) near to Purgatory Chasm!
