Salt has been extracted from the seawater around Bonaire for more than 400 years. This shop sells salt products for food as well as bath and body products.

The Caribbean Flamingo is the national bird of Bonaire where it is called Chogogo. Buy some here for your backyatd!

This "lighthouse", near the Harbour Village Marina, is about 3 km (2 miles) north of the cruise terminal in Kralendijk, and is not used for navigation.

Built in 1639 by the West India Company, Fort Oranje is a small fort in the center of Kralendijk. There was a wooden tower used as a lighthouse, but this was replaced by the current tower in 1932. For now, the fort is in use by the Public Prosecution Service.
