The Ikearasassuaq weather station. It is manned all year by up to five people.

The first glacier we encountered was the Sermeq Kajatleq Glacier.

A magnificent hanging glacier.

Greenery; something of a rare sight here.

Aappilattoq village, meaning "sea anemone" in Greenlandic. Essentially inaccessible via land due to the surrounding mountains, and iced in for most of the year, the heliport is their vital link to the outside world.

Our ship, like most of the cruise ships, sent a tender over with supplies.

There are only about 130 people living here now.
