Narragansett Bay

The Claiborne-Pell, or Newport, Bridge from Washington Street. It connects Newport, which is on Aquidneck Island, to Jamestown, which is on Conanicut Island.

Opened on June 28, 1969, it is the longest suspension bridge in New England, being 488 metres (1,601 ft) long.
