Outside the museum, there is a horse sculpture titled "Tres Bien". It was made from driftwood in 2014 by Rita Dee.

Clyde du Vernet Hunt had already produced two statues in 1918: "Nirvana", a seated nude woman, and "Fils de France", a nude boy. In 1920, he produced a statue of Abraham Linoln. In 1928, he combined reworked versions of these with to produce the Lincoln Trilogy. In 1947, the artist’s heirs donated the piece to the Bennington Museum when it was re-titled "Lincoln Trilogy (The American Spirit)".

Pottery has been made in Bennington since Captain John Norton started production of basic pottery in 1785. Production flourished with more elaborate naturalistic designs. The company ceased manufacturing in 1894. The tradition of Bennington Pottery continues to this day.
