Miscellaneous

Aegaeon orbits Saturn, in an almost perfectly circular orbit within the "G" Ring, every 19 hours and 24 minutes at a distance of 167,500 km.  It is very small at about half a kilometer across, and is probably the source of the particles that form the "G" Ring.  The Carolyn Porco, of the Cassini Imaging Science Team, reported the discovery of the moon in 2009 based on observations made by the Cassini probe in 2007 and 2008.
